About Vinita Mittal

Vinita joined ORC at the University of Southampton in April 2013 as a PhD student. Her research focuses on the fabrication of integrated photonic devices using novel materials for the mid infrared region, for biomedical diagnostic applications. Her interests lie in material synthesis, thin film technology and the structural and optical characterization methods.She received her Master of Technology degree in Materials Science and Engineering, at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. She had also taken her Bachelor and Master degree in Physics from University of Delhi, New Delhi, India.
