About Reza Sandoghchi

Seyed Reza Sandoghchi received his bachelor’s degree with honours in telecommunication engineering from the Sadjad Institute of Higher Education, Mashhad, Iran, in 2005. In 2011, he received his master of engineering in optical telecommunication from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and he is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in the Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton.Reza has a strong background in Radio Frequency Communication Devices, Electromagnetism, Numerical Modelling and Optical Fibre Fabrication. His research interest includes amongst other: Micro and Nano-Structured Optical Waveguides, Microscopy and Nanoscopy, Fibre Characterisation Methods and Surface Plasmon Polaritons. His current research focuses on Hollow Core Photonic Band Gap Fibres where his main research activities include modelling, simulation, and developing characterization systems.
