About Graham D.Hesketh

Graham graduated with First Class Honours in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Kent in 2009 and obtained the MSc in Quantum Fields and Fundamental Forces from Imperial College London in 2010. In 2014 he obtained his PhD in Nonlinear Effects in Multimode Optical Fibres from the Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton, for which he was awarded an EPSRC Doctoral Prize. Graham has since held a research fellow position at the University of Southampton.
Research interests: Experimental research in optical fibre communications with an emphasis on optical regeneration of communication signals using nonlinear effects in optical fibres. Theoretical and numerical analysis of nonlinear optical phenomena including high peak power pulse propagation, optical regeneration of fibre communications signals and exact solutions to nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations.
